Crews tackle car fire outside Buchanan Galleries

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze which engulfed a car outside one of Glasgow busiest shopping centres.

The car burst into flames on Cathedral Street, outside Buchanan Galleries, just before 09:00.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said a call was received at 08:47 and a crew was sent from nearby Cowcaddens fire station.

The arrived on the scene minutes later and quickly put the fire out. There are no reports of anyone being injured.
