A printing firm has been fined £20,000 after a painter fell through a roof light in its Glasgow factory.
Subcontractor David Jack needed seven stitches to his leg and suffered a strained wrist at John Watson and Co's premises in the city's Kyle Street.
The firm admitted health and safety breaches by failing to ensure non employees were not exposed to risk.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that no roof working protocol was agreed with the subcontractor who hired Mr Jack.
Sheriff Joseph Platt fined the firm a total of £20,000 but commended its pervious "exemplary" record having been in business for about a century with no previous breach of regulations.
