Teenagers arrested over Castlemilk child sex attack

Two teenage boys have been arrested over a sexual assault on two younger boys in Glasgow.

Police said they were contacted earlier this week over an incident which took place in the Castlemilk area of the city at some point over the past year.

The incident is believed to relate to a sexual attack on two boys, aged nine and 12.

Two teenage boys aged 14 and 15 have been arrested.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report at about 11:00 on Monday of two boys, aged nine and 12, being subjected to an assault in the Castlemilk area in the past 12 months by two other boys.

"We can confirm that two boys, one 14 years old and one 15 years old, have been arrested in connection with this incident."

She added: "A report will be submitted both to the procurator fiscal and the children's reporter."
