A new hotel is set to open in Glasgow in time for the Commonwealth Games, creating 65 full and part-time jobs.

The £11m Premier Inn, located on the banks of the River Clyde opposite the SECC complex, is to open in June.

The 180-bedroom hotel and restaurant has been built on a three-acre site between STV and BBC Scotland

The jobs, which include four apprenticeships, range from receptionists and restaurant workers to housekeeping and maintenance staff.
