Body found in River Clyde believed to be Fanqi Zhai

The body of a man recovered from the River Clyde is believed to be that of a missing student, police have said.

The man's body was found near Renfrew at 15:30 on Tuesday. Police formal identification had still to take place but it was believed to be Fanqi Zhai. His family has been informed.

A post mortem examination will be held but the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

Mr Zhaj, 25, was last seen leaving his home in Glasgow on 27 March.

He had been studying at Glasgow Caledonian University.
