A man has been arrested in connection with an incident outside a fast-food outlet in Glasgow earlier this month.

Eight people were allegedly sprayed with vapour from a CS gas-type canister outside the McDonald's restaurant on Maryhill Road.

Five women were treated in hospital after suffering irritation to their eyes and skin.

Police Scotland said a 30-year-old man had been detained. He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
