Jamie Cameron charged with murder over William McLachlan's death in Largs

A man has been charged with murder after a 57-year-old man was found dead outside his home in Ayrshire.

Jamie Cameron, 20, is accused of killing William McLachlan, whose body was found outside his home in Holehouse Road, Largs, on Saturday morning.

Co-accused Jordan Skeoch, 19, also appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court where he was charged with assault to injury.

The pair, both from Largs, made no pleas and were remanded in custody.

Another 20-year-old man who had been held in connection with the death was freed pending further inquiries by the procurator fiscal.

Mr McLachlan, who was retired, was previously a member of Largs Community Council.
