Work ongoing to repair burst water main near A8

Work is continuing to repair a burst water main near the A8 at Chapelhall in North Lanarkshire.

Scottish Water said the slip road remains closed for drivers joining the A8 from the B799 but the road is now opened for drivers leaving the A8.

The utility firm said businesses and homes in the Bellshill area may experience low pressure water supplies.

Tankers are being used to keep water in the network. A local diversion is in place to re-route traffic.
