Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has taken one of its vessels out of service after a suspected norovirus outbreak.

The MV Isle of Arran was withdrawn from the Kennacraig to Islay route on Thursday after some staff fell ill.

CalMac said this was a precautionary measure and the vessel would undergo a "deep clean" before returning to service on Saturday at the earliest.

The route, which is usually served by two vessels, is currently running with the MV Finlaggan only.
