Concern is growing for the safety of a 21-year-old medical student who has been missing from his family home in East Dunbartonshire for two days.
Manvir Singh, from Bishopbriggs, was last seen in Renfield Street, near Sauchiehall Street, in Glasgow city centre at about 16:45 on Wednesday.
Police said it was "out of character" for the Glasgow University student not to keep in contact with his family.
Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
Mr Sing was last seen by a friend in Glasgow city centre.
He is described as 5ft 10in tall and of slim build with short black hair and a goatee beard.
When he was last seen he was wearing a navy blue hooded top with yellow markings on it, dark jeans and tan boots. He was carrying a black bag.
Sgt Salvatore Schillaci, of Police Scotland, said: "It is out of character for Manvir not to keep in contact with his family and they are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety.
"Manvir is a medical student at Glasgow University and extensive inquiries are ongoing in the Greater Glasgow area to trace him.
"I would also urge Manvir himself to contact his family or Police Scotland as soon as possible to confirm that he is safe and well.
"I would urge anyone who recognises his description, or has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland."
