Missing schoolgirl Denisa Terkelova found in Glasgow

A major police search for a schoolgirl in Glasgow has been stood down after she was found at a friend's house.

Denisa Terkelova was reported missing after she left the family home in Queen's Drive, near Queen's Park, to go to local shops at 17:00 on Tuesday.

The 11-year-old, who was born in the Czech Republic, failed to return home.

Police deployed specialist resources, including dogs and a helicopter, in a bid to find her. Denisa was traced to a friend's house on Wednesday.
