Seven people injured in Castlemilk flat fire

Seven people have been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after fire broke out in the close of flats in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

Fire crews were called to the three-storey block in Ardencraig Drive at about 22:20 on Thursday.

Three children, a woman and two men were led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.

All six, and another woman who escaped via a window, were taken to the nearby Victoria Infirmary for treatment.
