Government backs rejected Tralorg wind farm near Girvan

Plans for an eight-turbine wind farm in South Ayrshire have been backed by the Scottish government after the local authority rejected the scheme.

PNE Wind UK's proposal for Tralorg wind farm, near Girvan, was turned down by South Ayrshire Council last year.

A Scottish government reporter has now upheld the company's appeal against the decision - clearing the way for the development to go ahead.

PNE said believed Tralorg was a "well-designed and sensibly located scheme".
