Drug courier Adam Kerr caught after van ran out of petrol

A drugs courier was caught after his van ran out of petrol on a roundabout.

Adam Kerr, 32, was seen pushing the van at the Bellfield Interchange, near Kilmarnock, on 13 November last year.

Police searched the vehicle and found a quantity of the class C drug phenazepam with a street value of about £75,000. The High Court in Glasgow heard this may have been sold as diazepam.

Sentence on Kerr was deferred after he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the drug.
