Man dies after being hit by lorry near school in Paisley
A 54-year-old man has died after being hit by a lorry outside a school in Paisley.
Police said the man was struck by a Mercedes Benz articulated lorry in Hurlet Road, opposite St Andrews Secondary School, at about 08:35 on Monday.
He was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital but died shortly after admission.
Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Sgt Kenny Malaney said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this road crash.
"I would ask anyone who was in or around the area at the time of the incident and saw the man, wearing blue jeans and a blue striped jumper, or witnessed the crash to come forward."
