Man's death in Kilmarnock river treated as unexplained

The death of a man found in a river in Kilmarnock is being treated as unexplained.

The body was pulled from the Kilmarnock Water and taken to Crosshouse Hospital on Saturday.

Officers had sealed off the area and set up diversions after the discovery at about 11:50.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "The body of a man was found in the water near to London Road. The death is being treated as unexplained."
