Man in court over gun alert at Grosvenor Casino in Glasgow
A man has appeared in court charged with possessing an imitation firearm at a casino in Glasgow city centre.
Barry Witherspoon is alleged to have had an air rifle with him at Grosvenor Casino, Glassford Street, on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old from Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court from custody, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A trial date was set for August and he was released on bail with the condition that he does not enter the casino.
