A83 Rest and Be Thankful fully re-opens after landslip

The A83 Rest and Be Thankful in Argyll has fully re-opened after contractors cleared debris from a minor landslip.

Bear Scotland said temporary traffic lights were removed and the route was operating as normal by 15:55.

The lights were put in place on Wednesday after days of heavy rain washed debris onto the carriageway.

The road has been closed by landslides seven times in five years. Last year, an emergency diversion route opened to avoid 50 mile detours during closures.
