Police have released the name of a man who died following an attack in Glasgow city centre.

Simon Richardson, 45, from Paisley in Renfrewshire, died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary after a disturbance in Wellington Street early on Sunday.

Luke Quinn, 32, appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with Mr Richardson's murder.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. Mr Quinn is due to appear next week for full committal.
