Man, 51, held over £240,000 cannabis crop in Girvan

A man has been arrested after an illegal cannabis crop with an estimated street value of about £240,000 was found at a house in South Ayrshire.

Officers from Police Scotland, acting under warrant, found the drug while searching the house in Main Street, Dailly, Girvan, at 09:20 on Wednesday.

They arrested a 51-year-old man who is in custody.

He is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal and is expected to appear later at Ayr Sheriff Court.
