Man in court over woman's death in Baillieston

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 48-year-old woman at a house in Glasgow.

Anthony Vita, 47, from Ballieston, who appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court, has also been charged with uttering threats of violence.

The woman's body was found at the property in Barrachnie Crescent, Baillieston, at about 20:20 on Friday.

Vita made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court again next week.
