A man has died in hospital nine days after being injured in a disturbance in South Lanarkshire.

James Morrison sustained a wound to his leg during the incident in Auchinraith Terrace, Blantyre, on 23 August.

The 26-year-old was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride where he died on Sunday.

Police Scotland said a 37-year-old man had been arrested and charged with attempted murder on 26 August over the incident.
