Motorcyclist dies after crash with cars on A77 in Ayr

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with two cars on the A77 in Ayr.

It happened near to Maybole Road at about 18:45 on Friday.

Police said the 23-year-old man was riding his black and orange KTM motorcycle north when he was involved in a collision with a grey Volvo and silver Citroen, both travelling south.

The man died at the scene. The two car drivers, a 51-year-old woman and a man, 66, were uninjured but left shaken. Police have appealed for witnesses.
