Man arrested after Alexander Glassford stabbed to death on bus

A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 59-year-old man on a Glasgow bus.

Police earlier said the victim was Alexander Glassford, from the city's Knightswood area.

He was attacked on the M11 First Bus, on Dumbarton Road, near Kelso Street, at 16:45 BST on Monday. He was taken to the Western Infirmary where he later died.

The arrested man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sherriff Court on Wednesday.

He was detained after a police operation in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.
