Murder probe in Glasgow after man stabbed on bus

Police have launched a murder inquiry after a 59-year-old man was stabbed on a bus in Glasgow by another man.

The incident happened while the M11 First bus was on Yoker Ferry Road at about 16:45 BST on Monday.

The victim was taken to the Western Infirmary but died shortly afterwards. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.

First Glasgow confirmed an incident had happened on the M11 service heading towards Clydebank.

A spokesman said: "We are assisting the police with their inquiries and our thoughts are very much with the victim's family."
