An Oban man has been identified as one of the two victims of a two-vehicle collision on the A85 in Argyll.

Vincent Kennedy, 32, a passenger in a Vauxhall Vectra, died at the scene after the crash at 18:30 on Thursday.

His 32-year-old partner, who was driving, is in a critical but stable condition at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital.

Their children, aged 14, five and two years, were treated for minor injuries at Oban Hospital.

A 74-year-old woman, who was a back seat passenger in a Honda CRV, also died at the scene.

The 51-year-old female driver of the Honda, and two female passengers, aged 49 and 46, were treated for minor injuries at Oban Hospital.

Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses to the crash, or the moments before it, to contact them.
