Man arrested after 'gun incident' in Carmyle, Glasgow

Bank Road, Carmyle Police received reports of a firearm being discharged in the Bank Road area of Carmyle

A man has been arrested following a major police operation in the Carmyle area of Glasgow.

Officers were called to the Bank Road area at about 02:30 on Tuesday after reports of a firearm being discharged.

Police Scotland said no-one had been injured in what appeared to be a "targeted, isolated incident".

The force has now confirmed that a 24-year-old man has been arrested. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
