Man arrested after boy stabbed in Bishopbriggs Park

A man has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in East Dunbartonshire last week.

The teenager was approached in Bishopbriggs Park on 25 February by two men who demanded his mobile phone.

One of the men then stabbed him in the chest, before running off. The boy was treated for his injuries at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and later released.

Police said an 18-year-old man had been arrested. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
