'Vicious' attack on 16-year-old
A "vicious" attack on a 16-year-old boy in Glasgow is being treated as attempted murder, police have said.
The teenager was found seriously injured in Prince Edward Street, in the Govanhill area, at about 00:40 after what police called a "disturbance".
The injured 16-year-old was taken to the Victoria Infirmary where his condition was said to be "serious".
Det Insp Ian Hylands said: "Inquiries are on-going to establish what happened prior to the man being discovered."
He added: "Officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the nearby neighbourhood and examining CCTV footage in an effort to trace those responsible for this vicious attack."
