Man, 17, arrested after indecent assault in Ardrossan

A teenager has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was indecently assaulted in North Ayrshire.

The girl was approached by her attacker while walking along Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, at about 02:00 on Saturday.

The man spoke to her before they both walked to an area just off Glasgow Street, where she was attacked.

Strathclyde Police said that a 17-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident and was the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
