Armed robbery at Cumbernauld petrol station
A man is being sought by police following an armed robbery at a petrol station in North Lanarkshire.
The suspect threatened a 35-year-old male employee at Express Service Station, Forrest Road, Cumbernauld, at about 05:20 on Sunday.
The man, who is thought to have had a firearm, ran off with a three-figure sum of cash and cigarettes.
No-one was injured during the robbery and the firearm was not discharged. Police have appealed for witnesses.
The suspect is described as being white, about 6ft tall, well built and was wearing a dark ski-mask covering his face, dark coloured jacket with 'Premier' written on the back and dark trousers.
