An incident in Glasgow where a man was struck by a car which was deliberately driven at him is being treated as attempted murder, police have said.
The 33 year-old was walking in a car park behind Knighstwood shopping centre when he was hit by a silver BMW.
The attack, just off Anniesland Road, happened at about 12:30 on Tuesday
The man was treated for a hip fracture at the nearby Western Infirmary and later released. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
Det Insp Fil Capaldi, of Strathclyde Police, said: "This investigation is at an early stage and officers are currently studying CCTV footage and carrying out enquiries in the area to establish more information on this crime, although we do believe that the man was specifically targeted.
"The only information we have on the car involved at this time is that it was a silver BMW, either a 3 or 5 series saloon. At this stage, we have no information on who was in the car, but our ongoing enquiries should reveal more information.
"The area in and around the shopping centre is usually very busy with both pedestrians and motorists and I would urge any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have seen a car being driven erratically around the time of the incident to come forward to police as a matter of urgency."
