Death of man near Motherwell flats 'not suspicious'

The death of a man whose body was found near high-rise flats in North Lanarkshire is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The man's body was discovered near Burnside tower in Motherwell at about 03:20 on Sunday.

Strathclyde Police initially said that officers were treating the man's death as "unexplained".

The force confirmed the death was not being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination.
