Two men have been stabbed during a large-scale disturbance outside a pub in East Dunbartonshire.

The men, aged 26 and 31, were injured in the brawl outside Carriages pub, at Millersneuk Shopping Centre, Lenzie, on Christmas Day at about 01:55.

They were both treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary before the 31-year-old was discharged. The other man has since been transferred to Gartnavel Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them.

Det Con John Laurie, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Our enquiries are underway in order to establish the circumstances of this incident which we believe involved around 12 people.

"I'd like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and witnessed the disturbance or anyone who has information that could help identify those responsible."
