Police seize £3.5m heroin haul from two Glasgow homes

Two people have been arrested after heroin with a street value of £3.5m was seized at two homes in Glasgow.

Police discovered the haul during raids on the homes in Shawhill Road, Shawlands, and Mavisbank Gardens, near Govan, on Wednesday afternoon.

The investigation also led to cannabis, with a street value of £175,000, being seized at an industrial estate in Lloyd Street, Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire.

A man, 26, and woman, 28, are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later.
