A teenager has been seriously injured in a bottle attack in Glasgow.
Police said the 17-year-old male was approached by another man who hit him with a bottle as he waited for a bus on Carmunnock Road in Castlemilk at about 01:30 on Saturday.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a serious facial injury.
Detectives said the attack appeared to be "unprovoked" and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
The suspect was described as in his mid-20s, wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.
Det Con Fiona Hill, from Strathclyde Police, said: "This was a very frightening incident for the 17-year-old victim, who was simply waiting on the night bus to take him home after a night out in nearby Holmbyre with friends.
"It appears this attack was unprovoked, and we would appeal to anyone who may have been in area to get in touch."
Officers were also keen to hear from anyone who was travelling home on the night bus, numbers 75 or 31, who may have witnessed the attack taking place.
