Appeal after woman raped in Helensburgh lane

Detectives are hunting for a man after a woman was raped in Helensburgh at the end of last month.

Strathclyde Police said the 34-year-old woman was grabbed from behind and assaulted in a lane near Malcolm Place in the Churchill area of the town.

The incident happened at about 20:00 on Saturday 29 September. The suspect was described as between 30 and 40 years old, with a medium/heavy build.

Officers asked anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
