Woman, 77, critical after being hit by car in Glasgow

A 77-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the road in the Springburn area of Glasgow.
The woman was crossing the northbound lane of Springburn Road, near Petershill Road, when she was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa at 15:40 on Tuesday.
She was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary suffering from serious injuries to her head and body.
The Corsa driver, 33, was uninjured. Police have appealed for witnesses.
The road was closed for several hours whilst investigations took place.
