John Lindores jailed over £343,000 cannabis haul

A man who was caught with £343,000 of cannabis resin at his home in Glasgow has been jailed for four years.

John Lindores, 49, was arrested after police searched his Knightswood home in July.

He later claimed that he agreed to become a "watcher" for the drugs to pay for his brother's funeral.

The High Court in Glasgow heard £10,700 of herbal cannabis was also seized. Judge Lady Stacey jailed Lindores for his "vital role" in the drugs trade.
