Woman arrested over Albert Drive flats blaze

A woman has been arrested in connection with three fires in Glasgow including one which forced three men to jump from a tenement window.

Emergency services were called to a blaze at flats in Albert Drive, Pollokshields, on Monday.

Strathclyde Police said a 39-year-old had been detained in connection that fire, another fire on Albert Drive and a blaze on Barrland Street.

She is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

The three men, aged 32, 60 and 61, who jumped from the window were taken to hospital and were said to be in a stable condition.

Another nine people were evacuated - three from the burning tenement and another six from a nearby building.
