Woman dies after bike and cars crash on A83 in Argyll

A woman has died after a motorbike was involved in a crash with two cars on the A83 in Argyll.

The 44-year-old was a passenger on the Kawasaki bike which collided with a Fiat Punto then an Audi A3 at Strone Point, near Inverary, at about 15:55 on Saturday.

The 51-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital and was said to be in a stable condition.

The drivers of the two cars were not injured. Police appealed for witnesses.

PC Graham Neilson, from Strathclyde Police, said: "From our inquiries we know that there were at least two other vehicles on the road when the crash happened - another motorcycle and a car.

"I am keen to speak to the driver/occupants of both as they may have seen something that will help us with our inquiries."
