Two men have been arrested after cannabis plants with a street value of £750,000 were found at an address in the north of Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police officers searched the property in Glentanar Road, Balmore Industrial Estate, in the city's Milton area, at about 11:00 on Wednesday.

They found about 1,500 cannabis plants at the site.

Two men, aged 23 and 42, were arrested. They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Det Sgt Craig Semple, of Strathclyde Police, said: "This is yet another significant recovery and illustrates once again our determination to rid our communities of drugs.

"Through effective intelligence gathering we continue to deal with this issue head on and our actions no doubt cause considerable disruption to those involved in drugs."
