Woman charged with theft of baby from Paisley flat

A woman has appeared in court charged with stealing a baby boy from a flat in Paisley last week.

The 21-year-old, from Newmilns in East Ayrshire, is alleged to have stolen the one-year-old from a flat in the Shortroods area on 12 September.

She appeared on petition at Paisley Sheriff Court, made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.

The sheriff applied conditions prohibiting her from returning to the property in question.

The case was continued for further examination.
