Two men held after man shot near Wishaw train station

Two men have been arrested over an alleged attempted murder after a man was shot near a train station.

The 28-year-old victim was treated in hospital after an incident near Wishaw train station, North Lanarkshire, at about 18:00 on 2 September.

Strathclyde Police said a 35-year-old man had been arrested on Sunday and a 33-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Both were due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court earlier this week.
