Jordan White facing jail for brutally killing dog

A 21-year-old man is facing a prison term after he admitted killing a dog at his home in North Ayrshire.

Jordan White, from Kilwinning, phoned police in September 2011 to say he had been left with a friend's dog and was going to let it loose or "do it in".

Officers later found the animal lying dead in the bloodstained house.

White admitted killing the dog and causing unnecessary suffering. He was remanded in custody at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for sentencing later.

The court heard that a post mortem examination revealed the dog suffered a ruptured liver, nine broken ribs and massive internal bleeding.

White will be sentenced later this month after psychological reports.
