Satnam Panesar and Baljinder Atwal lose crime cash

A man convicted of selling counterfeit DVDs and another found guilty of benefit fraud are having over £87,000 seized under proceeds of crime laws.

Satnam Panesar, 42, from Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, is to lose £67,500 for selling pirate DVDs from his shop in Glasgow.

Baljinder Atwal, 48, from Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire, is to lose £20,386 for committing income support fraud.

Both confiscation orders were granted at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
