Man, 35, dies after two-car crash in Motherwell

A man has died following a road crash in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.

The 35-year-old's blue Subaru Impreza crossed the central reservation on Shields Road at 17:25 on Thursday and collided with a blue Renault Scenic.

The man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he later died.

The 54-year-old male driver of the Renault Scenic was discharged from the same hospital after treatment. Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact them.
