Man in serious condition after 'nasty' attack in Govan
A man has been stabbed in a "particularly nasty attack" in Glasgow, police have said.
An investigation is under way following the assault near Harmony Place, Govan, at about 20:00 BST on Friday.
The 47-year-old man was taken to Southern General Hospital where staff said his injuries were very serious.
Police said the male suspect fled the scene and they wanted to trace a woman, believed to have been arguing with the victim before the incident.
The suspect is described as being in his late 20s, short, of stocky build and was wearing a green top and white shorts.
Det Con Kenny Johnston said: "This was a particularly nasty attack and at this time we are unsure as to any motive behind it.
"Initial enquiries have revealed that the injured man had been arguing with a woman prior to this incident taking place. The woman is described as being heavy built with dark hair and was wearing a dark top."
He added: "It is vital that we trace this woman as she may be able to provide us with information that could assist our enquiries."
