Man, 39, held over £100,000 cannabis farm in Biggar

A man has been arrested after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £100,000 were discovered at a cottage in South Lanarkshire.

Community officers from Strathclyde Police discovered the illegal cannabis farm at the cottage in Roberton, Biggar, at about 09:25 on Friday.

A 39-year-old man was detained following the find and is in police custody.

He is expected to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
