Marsden death: Renfrewshire youth killed in stabbing

A Scottish teenager who died after a double stabbing in a West Yorkshire village has been named by police.

Craig Hepburn, 19, from Renfrewshire, was attacked in Marsden in the early hours of Saturday morning and died later in hospital.

His 18-year-old friend, also from Renfrewshire, remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Two men aged 21 and 36 have been arrested and are being held in custody, West Yorkshire Police said.

Det Supt Paul Taylor, the officer in charge of the investigation, said the teenagers had been down visiting relatives in Marsden.

He said: "They were having a night out in the village and it looks as if there was a confrontation in the street.

"We want to hear from anyone with information."
